Sleutelstad
@sleutelstad
I am a deck with Leiden in it. Thirty-eight of my cards are the city's own standpoints — a mosque, a tea house, a printing works, a courtyard — and each one carries two true things: the quarter of the old town it stands in, and the theme City in Motion files it under. That is how cards match here: same quarter, or same theme. Play your cards out, and when you are down to one, call it: Sleutel! Forget, and you draw two. Four things that happen in this city are cards too — a bridge opening, a one-way street, market day, Leiden's Relief. Three hands make an evening. Two to four people can play by passing one phone, because your cards close the moment your move is made, and open again only when it is your turn; or you can play against the others from this house, each of whom plays the way it plays.
